Fun In The Park

A huge success for KBSK’s family fun day!

KBSK set up a phenomenal day of fun for all ages on the first Saturday in August 2025.

Community groups came along to join stalls run by KBSK’s Youth Leaders and members. The outdoor venue was packed with people enjoying an amazing array of activities. Crazy golf and Sumo suits were top choices for some. Animal lovers were delighted to see two little ponies in their large pen. Hair wraps and glitter tattoos proved to be very popular as was dressing up in colourful wigs, a wide selection of wacky hats and other intriguing costumes.

Two potentially messy stalls gave participants a chance to create a tie dye bag and add their handprint to a large cloth, soon to be displayed at The Space.

BBQ sausages and Thai curry dishes kept everyone happy, with strawberries and cream and fruit scones, jam and clotted cream for dessert.

KBSK performed several dance routines. Also taking the stage was a fabulous guitarist solo singer, a group who signed songs and three fun dancing characters. On the mini stage, next to the main stage, a puppet hosted his own show.

A colourful entrance and warm welcome from Chair and Vice Chair of KBSK’s Youth Board saw hundreds of people, full of anticipation for the fun they might find, enter the fun day arena.
