Teen's Teaching Talent

It was great to catch up with Maya in The Space office.

She was busy writing a lesson plan.

On Wednesdays Maya teaches at the Kinsman Hub as part of KBSK’s outreach programme. The class provides free dance sessions for five- to ten-year-olds. Maya clearly loves her role and spoke enthusiastically about it. The venue is the very place Maya went to when she was younger, making it even more special for her.

This week Maya will introduce some choreography she hopes the class will perfect in time for KBSK’s Summer Show.

On top of dancing and teaching dance, Maya is Deputy Chair of the KBSK Youth Board.

Empowering young people by providing the tools, support and opportunities to lead is something at the very heart of KBSK.
