'Every Child That Has a Passion For The Arts Deserves The Right to Access it'
“FOR AS EARLY AS I CAN REMEMBER I HAD A DREAM TO BECOME A DANCER."
Adie witnessed her young single mum sacrifice everything to give her a better chance in life and she wanted to give back. After receiving a full scholarship to train as a dancer Adie went on to teach the other children living on the same estate what she was learning... KBSK was born and Adie’s passion for the arts and making it accessible to every child became her soul mission.

KBSK was founded in 2012 later becoming a CIC in 2018. Bodmin is known for being one of the most deprived areas in Cornwall with one of the highest crime rates. Our projects have become an open and accessible space, reaching in the hundreds of young people and children a week, working with families that are coming from financial and social deprivation, struggles with mental health and children with many complex and additional needs including children with Autism, ADHD and children who are deaf and partially sighted. We believe the preventative action in the services of KBSK is vital not only for our young people but for our community.
Over the last ten years KBSK has organically become a support system for the community, working and supporting families in times of need with food parcels and essential supplies as well as making referrals to drug and alcohol services, supporting families with emergency housing applications, mental health support and domestic violence, rape and sexual assault support”

“At KBSK we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to access the arts, every child deserves a space to express themselves and to be given the right tools and equal opportunities to take forward to excel in life” – Adie Dove
